Redeemer's Mission Statement

As men, women and children united in faith and worship by the Word of God, Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church exists to make disciples in our community and throughout the world for time and for eternity, using the Gospel to win the lost for Christ and to nurture believers for lives of Christian service, all to the Glory of God.

Redeemer's History

Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church was organized on the southwest side of Ann Arbor in 1944. Redeemer is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod which has its headquarters in Milwaukee.

Redeemer's Beliefs

The members of Redeemer believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, sent to earth, who led a sinless life so that all humankind might be declared holy. We believe that the innocent suffering and death of Jesus on the cross served as the payment for our sins. We believe that Jesus rose from death, giving us full assurance that we are forgiven so that we may live with God now and forever.
